the first few days of summer
it's been a weird couple of weeks, not in a bad way. actually in a very good way it's been a couple of weeks and they've been kind of weird.
I think this is the first time in a long time that I have started summer in a very good mood. usually I am down because it is way too hot. Don't get me wrong, it's still way too hot. perhaps it's because this time last year I didn't have AC at home, but for some reason I just don't care as much.
on solstice I took a walk. it was a beautiful walk on an incredibly hot day. hot but not humid. I intentionally took myself by the water for the breezes, but also because I wanted to walk past this graveyard.
then it rained for a long time. I know it's only been a few days since Sunday but it feels like it's been raining much longer.
look at the drops on the windshield.
look at the rain on the ground.
it is one of my great joys to be able to notice and appreciate details.
we get little breaks where the skies lighten up and the air is crisp in the post-rain world.
hot, not humid, not bad at all.
